Dear current and potential members ofthe WBSBP,

Westchester Bronx Society of BlackPhysicians.

Come fellowship with us during our membership drive and networking eventon April 27, 2023. This exciting event will be hosted by the Mayor of Mount Vernon, Shawyn Patterson Howard in the Rotunda at Mount Vernon City Hall from 6pm -10pm. This event will be attended by physicians, local civic leaders, and politicians. The keynote speaker, Dr. Kecia Gaither, will discuss Maternal Mortality within our community. Dr Alexandra Bastien will take us through a process improvementtechnique to deal with disparities.

We will have an  exquisite Caribbean meal with an open bar at this extraordinary venue.  This event  will give us an opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and possibly influence our local political leadership and see each other in New York, we are only 5.7% of Doctors while the population is 15% Black). Please visit this link to RSVP or scan the QR code on the attached flyer.

Our organization offers a platform for you to meet others that understand and share your struggles.  You are not alone. Westchester Bronx Society of Black Physicians offers mentorship/sponsorship for your personal and professional growth.  It is an opportunity to be part of a community of physicians with strength in unity.  We share seasoned  financial advice and conference experts, showcase practices so that community and fellow physicians can be cared for by physicians who inherently respect them and their needs.

We have set the stage for ongoing constructive dialogue among physicians, community organizations, and government. It behooves all of us to  be seen and recognized!   Your presence at this event can make this a transformative meeting of the minds.

The point is you are not alone, you do not have to shoulder the burden of being a physician of color by yourself. You are not an imposter in the  room - with us you will comfortably lead in all your endeavors.

Come join us and see for yourself.
