National Medical Fellowships Diversity in Clinical Trials Research Program
"Dear Colleagues,
National Medical Fellowships (NMF) is pleased to announce that the application is open for the September 2023 cohort of the NMF Diversity in Clinical Trials Research Program (NMF Dctr) that will tentatively begin clinical investigator certification training on September 16, 2023.
The application deadline is Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 11:59 pm ET.
NMF Dctr seeks to increase patient diversity in clinical trials by training healthcare professionals underrepresented in medicine to become Principal Investigators (PIs) in clinical research.
A collaboration between sponsoring organizations, Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson and Johnson, and Merck; AstraZeneca, administrative partner NMF; and curriculum partner Parexel® Academy, NMF Dctr’s comprehensive program features a clinical investigator certification course to provide health care professionals with the core knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to engage in clinical trial activities and post-training support that includes mentoring and networking to bridge the gap between training and practice.

The investigator certification training is delivered virtually by Parexel® Academy as a series of 10 webinar modules with live virtual seminars. After participating in NMF Dctr, all emerging investigators are equipped with tools and support that enable them to impact and lead clinical trials.
